After graduating from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing), Shawna began her legal career at the Law Offices of John Drew
Warlick. She credits her time there with providing the strong foundation that shaped her understanding of the vital role paralegals play in supporting attorneys and guiding clients
through the legal process.
With more than 15 years of experience, Shawna has dedicated the majority of her career to family law. She has extensive experience assisting attorneys in all aspects of domestic nlitigation, including divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, alimony, post- separation support, separation agreements, and other complex family law matters. Her
experience includes managing high-asset and high-conflict cases, coordinating extensive discovery, and organizing complex financial records.
Shawna is recognized for her exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proactive approach to case management. She is committed to providing outstanding support to both attorneys and clients, helping navigate challenging legal matters with professionalism, compassion, and efficiency.
Outside of the office, Shawna enjoys spending time at the lake with her husband and their Labradoodle, Bonham. Around the office, Bonham—affectionately known as “Bon Bon”—has earned a reputation as Shawna’s unofficial legal assistant and can often be found accompanying her throughout the workday, bringing smiles to clients and colleagues alike.
