While at Wake Forest, Mary Catherine was an accomplished student and a member of the Wake Forest Cheerleading Team. Most notably, she was crowned Homecoming Queen of the university during her senior year. Mary Catherine graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology and Religion with a concentration in Religion and Public Engagement.
Following graduation, Mary Catherine attended Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. While in law school, Mary Catherine served as a Student Ambassador, Peer Mentor, President of Christian Legal Society, and was an advancing advocate on the Campbell Law Moot Court Team. Coached by Federal Magistrate Judge, Zac Bolitho, Mary Catherine competed in moot court competitions and won Best Oral Advocate for the School of the Appeal at the Academy of the Advocate in St. Andrews, Scotland.
During law school, Mary Catherine interned at the North Carolina Court of Appeals in the chambers of the Honorable Judge Chris Dillon, the Gailor Family Law Clinic, and Gailor Hunt Davis Taylor & Gibbs, PLLC. At graduation, she received the Howard Memorial Christian Citizenship Award, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Law Student Award, and the Order of Old Kivett for having excelled in lawyering skills while representing the law school in an exemplary fashion in regional, national, and international advocacy competitions while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Mary Catherine joined Gailor Hunt Davis Taylor & Gibbs, PLLC as an Associate Attorney in 2023 upon graduation from law school.
When not practicing law, Mary Catherine enjoys spending time with her family and friends, working out at Burn Boot Camp, being involved in church, and going to the beach.
